God is perfection . . . we’re human

God does not expect or ask for our perfection. God knows we’re not perfect. What God demands, all through the bible, is our focus and attention, our adoration, communion/relationship and our obedience.tumblr_mu3khplhE21rh1wv4o1_500.jpg

Obedience? What really does God want me to do? Well, that depends on God’s plan for your Life.

Whatever it is you are required to do though, God expects your FULL commitment.

Daniel was obedient even into the Lion’s den. Abraham was obedient even up to losing his only son. John the Baptist was obedient even up to death. Sampson was obedient (finally), even up to death. The Christ was obedient even to death. Job was obedient even through the worst afflictions. David was obedient even to nakedness in the streets.

Your obedience may take you to the limit, but then, God demands nothing less than our all.

Spending time trying to be perfect in order to somehow “buy” your way into the hereafter, is not what God wants. Through your earthly living and example, you secure your place in the hereafter. And, through your service.

So, if you’re hiding from God because you’re a sinner, or if you want to play a bigger role in the world and have more impact, or if you simply want a better life, follow the perfect example of the Christ: pull yourself apart, sit in silence, give God ALL the glory due, confess your shortcomings, and be in communion with God.

Through that communion, you will receive guidance on how you are to best serve God’s people, and once you serve consistently and faithfully, ALL things shall be added onto you. Even better, is that once you consistently go into communion with God, you will never again need to worry – God removes all obstacles, God provides for all your needs, and God is the ultimate giver of comfort.

Don’t waste time on perfection or on guilt – get into communion and obedience.
