Maya Angelou advised that whenever you’re on your way anywhere, and especially on your way into a new or challenging situation, you should take along ANYONE who has EVER said anything nice to you or done anything nice for you – even as simple as “Have a good day”.
I started a similar exercise back in 2010, digitally recording all the wonderful things that people have said to me / about me online. It is life changing.
Rereading the Love from well wishers, from people who SEE you even when you don’t or can’t see yourself, is a lifeline some days and some days it’s a key turning in your ignition. Other times, it’s the fuel you need to square your shoulders, straighten your crown and remind “Them” that they’re dealing with royalty. And, EVERY day, it’s nourishing for your soul.
If you struggle with self confidence, self love or depression, try this exercise.
Reprogram your perception of yourself by borrowing others’ eyes, and looking at yourself through them.
Heal yourself.
Use their Love, to come to Love yourself.
Peace + Light
