The “World” has lied to us.
People who ‘need’ or are ‘driven’ to build things, leave legacies and make loud ripples across nations about who they are and what they’ve done, are caught up in Ego traps.
Please, there’s no judgement here, I’m just pointing it out.
On the other hand, the Soul and the Spirit call us to simply LIVE. Live fully, in Love and joyfully and joyously, spreading that Love and joy to all we meet and making the lives of ALL those we encounter, better than we found them.
None, NOT ONE of the “GREATS” of history – neither Holy men/women nor artists, painters or writers – set out to make the world remember their name. NOT ONE of the “GREATS” of history was interested in fame or fortune, fans or followers. Each was simply interested in pouring out EVERYTHING they had inside – in being THE BEST that they could be, some for themselves or their “people” (tribe, family, race, etc), and others for country and/or for their God.
Spending your days in pursuit of fame and fortune, fans and followers, is in DIRECT opposition to the Spirit’s call to LIVE; live well, live fully, and positively touch EVERY life that you encounter, on a daily basis.
A Spirit led life is NOT about building monuments and foundations or about people remembering your name. A Spirit led life is about Freedom and Love and Joy and about extending helping hands, EVERY moment of Every day.
And then… the Legacy is built in the hearts and on the lips of others, without you EVER ONE DAY having to do anything other than BE Love, Joy, Peace and Freedom.
Ego led life or Spirit led Life? Your Call.
